The IRO Certified International Rescue Dog Exam, held for three days until May 10th at the Yatsugatake International Rescue Dog Training Center, has successfully concluded (Chairman of the event: Akinori Eto, Member of the House of Representatives, former Minister of Defense).

Judges from South Korea and the Czech Republic visited Japan to conduct the evaluations, which included wide-area search, rubble search, and obedience work.

The top-performing pair in stage B qualified for the World Championship. Search operations were conducted according to individual dogs and scenarios, and after evaluation, the Murase & Luca pair emerged victorious.

The Rescue Dog Trainers Association (RDTA) plans to hold the 2nd Domestic MRT (Mass Rescue Training) in November this year, aimed at establishing domestic deployment standards, to test whether rescue dog pairs have the capability to be deployed in disasters.
