From the Day I Jumped into SET to Who I Am Now.

I was anxious, but before I knew it, I was talking about myself—such 30-minute segments will now be created every month.

Certified NPO SET has started regular distribution of the Instagram LIVE program "Tell us! Your SET history." It will be delivered every first Thursday of the month from 20:00 to 20:30 on the official Instagram account (@_nposet). The host is Minami (Minami Nomura). Each time, one guest is invited to talk in detail over 30 minutes about their journey from the day they met SET to the present.

About the first episode (vol.01)

The first episode was distributed on Thursday, June 4, 2026. The guest was SET member Akihiro Yamamoto, who talked for 30 minutes about the day he jumped into SET, his moments of hesitation, and his current feelings.

Why create a space to talk about one's "journey"?

Based in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, SET has continued activities that bring young people and local residents together to foster relationships. Some participating young people have decided to move to Rikuzentakata, while others have significantly changed the direction of their lives. However, the "process" of such change—the moments of hesitation, wavering, and gradually shifting feelings—is difficult to capture in activity reports or performance figures.

This program aims to shed light on such "invisible changes." It is designed not as a place to report glamorous results, but as a space to carefully articulate the real trajectory a person has walked with SET.

Viewing and future developments

The broadcast can be viewed in real-time, and it is an interactive space where viewers can communicate with the guest through comments. Archives remain on Instagram, so those who cannot make the broadcast time can watch it later. To avoid missing future broadcasts, we recommend following @_nposet and turning on notifications. SET's mission is to "turn each person's 'I want to' into 'I did it,' and create Good Change for Japan's future." Since the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, it has been creating systems for young people and residents to learn together, primarily in the Iwate region. Through school trip homestays, programs for university students and working adults, and community building, it fosters "continuing relationships" where young people engage in the daily life of the region and learn together with residents.
