[Niigata University of Health and Welfare] Announcement: Mai Ogawa of the Women's Baseball Team Selected as a Candidate for Samurai Japan Women's National Team

Mai Ogawa (3rd year, Department of Health and Sports) of the Niigata University of Health and Welfare Women's Baseball Team (part of the NSG Group) has been selected as a candidate for the Samurai Japan Women's National Team for the '10th WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup - Group Stage B,' scheduled to be held in Tainan, Taiwan this August. She will participate in a training camp from June 5th (Fri) to 7th (Sun). While Ogawa was selected for the national team last year, this year's squad represents the pinnacle of Japanese baseball, featuring top players from across the country. Ogawa is a powerful left-handed hitter and infielder. The tournament will take place from August 23rd to 27th in Tainan, featuring teams from Japan, Chinese Taipei, Venezuela, Cuba, the UK, and the Philippines.
