Human Skills Essential in the AI Era: Learning "Communicative Presentations" Using Generative AI "Gemini"

On June 22, 2026 (Mon), Niigata Business College (Chuo-ku, Niigata City), part of the NSG Group, held a special lecture titled "AI Utilization Course" for first and second-year students studying business fields. Mr. Ichikawa from dott Inc. (Koriyama Office: Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture), a company involved in system development and AI education, was invited as the lecturer. Students practically learned methods for creating presentation materials using the generative AI "Gemini" and how to deliver effective presentations.

Our school's students apply to multiple business idea contests every year, and those who pass the selection process give presentations at the contest finals. To develop the planning and proposal skills required in society, we emphasize practical presentation education, and this special lecture was conducted as part of that initiative.

First, students clarified "What do you want to convey?" and "What action do you want the audience to take?". Then, using Gemini, they set up the persona of the listener and analyzed the psychological barriers that might hinder action.

Furthermore, through dialogue with the AI, they organized the main message and supporting information, and created an outline and slide drafts for the presentation. They learned the process of refining it into a "communicative presentation" by independently selecting and editing expressions, structure, and information from the generated content.

At the end of the class, Mr. Ichikawa lectured, stating, "AI is merely an auxiliary tool; it is crucial for humans to perform fact-checking and make the final decisions." This deepened their understanding of the thinking skills, editing abilities, and the power to communicate from the audience's perspective, which are increasingly demanded in the AI era.

With the rapid spread of generative AI, society increasingly requires not only the skills to utilize AI but also the human ability to discern information, think, edit, and communicate.

Our school will continue to promote the development of human resources who can create new value by utilizing AI through practical learning in collaboration with companies.
