(1369-1 Saishoji, Fujikawa-cho, Minamikoma-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture; Representative Director: Koichi Nakazawa) in Fujikawa Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, will grand open the EC site for its aroma brand "Nashi no Kaori," which is engaged in the regeneration of abandoned farmland and the utilization of unused resources in the region, on **Wednesday, April 1, 2026**. The company practices regionally circular manufacturing, using herbs grown on its own regenerated farmlands, discarded yuzu peels, and thinned wood as raw materials.

**■Fragrance Creation Starting from Regenerated Abandoned Farmland** Currently, the increase in abandoned farmland and the underutilization of forestry resources are issues across Japan. As the first initiative of Nashi no Kaori, approximately **750㎡ of abandoned farmland in Fujikawa Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, has been regenerated into a field**, and the cultivation of herbs has begun.

Currently, the following herbs are cultivated in-house: - Hino Haru Blue Rosemary - Common Sage - Black Peppermint - Lemon Balm

These plants are used as raw materials to produce essential oils and aromatic hydrosols.

**■New Value for Unused Resources** In addition to herbs, Nashi no Kaori also utilizes the following regional resources: - Discarded wild yuzu peels: A total of approximately **1,300kg** to date. - Thinned wood (Hinoki, Sugi): A total of approximately **500kg** to date.

These materials, which were previously not fully utilized, are now being transformed into fragrances through steam distillation, creating new value.
