AI Glasses 'Oakley Meta' Arrive in Japan

Oakley Meta, paving a new era of performance AI glasses, arrives in Japan on May 21. Fusing Oakley's design DNA with Meta's industry-leading technology, the collection features two models: Oakley Meta Vanguard and Oakley Meta HSTN.

Oakley has continuously challenged the conventions of performance, culture, and sports, redefining eyewear possibilities. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, these innovative models allow hands-free capture via internal cameras, designed for sharing moments both in and out of the field. Beyond entertainment, they provide physical performance insights, supporting focus through real-time data.

The performance AI in Oakley Meta represents 'Athletic Intelligence' evolved. Featuring a built-in personal AI assistant, athletes can access functions via simple voice commands, getting instant insights on their performance and training.

Oakley Meta Vanguard is designed for sports, merging high performance with immersive technology. Its design emphasizes mobility and endurance; the shield lens fits naturally under helmets, ensuring comfort during intense movement. Its 12-megapixel center camera captures dynamic, athlete-view footage with a 122-degree field of view, while integration with Garmin and Strava enables real-time data tracking. The high-output open-ear speakers feature wind noise reduction, delivering clear sound at speeds of up to 48 km/h. It boasts IP67 dust and water resistance, a 9-hour battery life, and customizable action buttons.

Oakley Meta HSTN is a lifestyle performance glass fusing advanced AI with a design suitable for light sports like golf and running, and daily use. It features IPX4 water resistance, an 8-hour battery, and a 12-megapixel camera (100-degree field of view) capable of 3K video. Prescription lenses are supported with various options including Prizm™, Transitions® GEN S, and clear lenses.

Both models will be available starting May 21 at Oakley stores, Meta.com, and authorized dealers, and from mid-June on the official online store.
