Expert-Led Support Program Launched to Help SMEs Achieve Proper Price Pass-Through!

In the face of a challenging business environment marked by soaring energy prices, rising raw material costs, and increasing labor expenses, it is essential for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to establish favorable trading conditions and receive broad societal support to achieve sustainable wage increases and stable management through appropriate price pass-through. However, many businesses face unique challenges—such as fear of losing contracts, industry-specific trade practices, and a lack of know-how regarding price negotiations—hindering effective price adjustments.

To address these issues, the 'Heisei 8 Fiscal Year SME Price Pass-Through Support Project' has been launched to strongly support SMEs in achieving appropriate price adjustments. This initiative provides tailored, hands-on support to SMEs within Osaka Prefecture, helping them develop cost calculation methods, prepare data-backed negotiation materials, and acquire essential negotiation skills. Additionally, a variety of seminars will be held, covering foundational price negotiation techniques, industry-specific practices, and perspectives from ordering parties to meet diverse needs.

【Project Overview】

1. Expert-Led Hands-On Support (Free of Charge)

Experienced experts (Certified Small and Medium Enterprise Consultants) will provide practical guidance—from precise, industry-specific cost calculations to the creation of persuasive negotiation documents—accompanying businesses until they are fully prepared to enter actual price negotiations.

・Eligibility: SMEs operating within Osaka Prefecture

・Application period starts: Friday, June 19, Reiwa 8

2. Practical Price Negotiation Seminars (General and Industry-Specific Types, Free of Charge)

Seminars will be conducted to systematically teach participants how to create evidence-based negotiation materials and develop effective negotiation techniques. A diverse range of practical programs will also be offered, including industry-specific seminars tailored to trade customs and sessions designed to enhance understanding from the buyer’s perspective.
