Octopus Energy, which recorded a 63% growth rate compared to 2024 and ranked first among the top 30 power companies, has partnered with Tact Home, a developer of detached housing, to drive consistent decarbonization from the construction phase through to occupancy. In recent years, the housing sector has faced increasing pressure to improve environmental performance, driven by regulations such as the 'Housing Top Runner Program.' Through this partnership, the companies aim to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy and decarbonization in the residential sector. Octopus Energy will provide services including the transition of temporary construction power to non-fossil sources and the nationwide rollout of a zero-upfront-cost solar power service. This initiative not only reduces the environmental impact of the construction process but also improves operational efficiency for Tact Home by centralizing power management and GHG emissions reporting. Furthermore, it supports the achievement of solar installation targets, contributing to CO2 reduction across the entire housing lifecycle.
