OKI is accelerating its business expansion by strengthening the supply system for its 'WatchOverSmart' monitoring solution for nursing care facilities. Aiming to reduce the burden of nighttime monitoring in nursing care settings where labor shortages are becoming severe, OKI provides a one-stop service from sales to implementation support in collaboration with communication dealers. As part of this initiative, the solution has been introduced at the nursing home 'Shin-ai Cattleya-kan' (located in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture). At Shin-ai Cattleya-kan, the solution was initially installed for six beds. The system uses a fabric sensor placed on the mattress, allowing staff to monitor heart rate and respiratory rate. It enables centralized management of bed status via a PC at the staff station and provides notifications to detect changes in residents' conditions early. This implementation is a model case provided through OKI's communication dealer, Daihyaku Tsushin Kogyo Co., Ltd., covering everything from product sales to wireless infrastructure setup and implementation support.
