Purpose of the Event: To solve the real challenges of municipalities and support people who wish to marry.
In Japan, where the declining birthrate and aging population, as well as later marriages, are progressing, the situation continues where people who "want to get married" cannot find partners. This issue cannot be solved by local governments alone, nor by matchmaking companies alone.
* Municipalities have enthusiasm and public service orientation at the local level, but their access to private sector know-how and the latest examples is limited.
* Companies involved in matchmaking have expertise in matching, but lack the resources to provide end-to-end support from finding a partner to marriage.
* Professionals in "venues" and "content" such as food and beverage, bridal, and media have not yet had sufficient contact with the matchmaking market.
- What can be created when their respective strengths are combined? Omikare has collaborated with various municipalities nationwide, including Tottori, Fukushima, and Okayama prefectures, to plan and realize new initiatives such as large-scale matchmaking events and seminars. This year, we are further expanding the co-creation space as "Konkatsu Summit 2026" by including marriage agencies, party organizers, and companies beyond industry boundaries. To promote matchmaking as "part of life design" across society, this summit is held as a forum for municipalities, matchmaking companies, and cross-industry companies to gather and discuss success stories, challenges, and honest opinions.
