OM Network Co., Ltd., based in Niigata and led by Representative Director Shinya Yamagishi, has launched a new 'Skill Function' for its retail shift management SaaS 'R-Shift'. While the traditional 'work assignment function' manages priority allocations for shifts, the new 'Skill Function' focuses on recording and visualizing employee capability and proficiency. This feature enables store managers to see employee skills and trace skill counts per shift day or hour. This allows managers to identify skill imbalances, such as time slots lacking trainers or closing duty staff, before finalizing shifts. Stores can define custom skill items based on their operations. By analyzing skill distributions, corporate headquarters and store managers can address dependency risks, identify talent gaps, and formulate strategic personnel training plans rather than relying on ad-hoc OJT. Future expansions are planned.
