“Gather! Gut Health First Graders” ~Experience in the Classroom! A Fun Mini-Lesson to Learn the Basics of Gut Health While Eating School Lunch. With Luxurious Souvenirs!~

KINNOE, a specialty store for fermented dietary fiber, will hold the "KINNOE518 Festival," produced by KINNOE, from Saturday, May 16, to Sunday, June 14, 2026, at HOME/WORK VILLAGE (Ikejiri, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo), to commemorate May 18, "Fermented Dietary Fiber Awareness Day."

This festival will feature multiple projects centered on "learning, eating, and playing" to make fermented dietary fiber more accessible. We have started recruiting participants for the central project, a mini-lesson called "Gather! Gut Health First Graders," where participants can learn about the gut and fermented dietary fiber while eating school lunch.

Fun Learning While Eating School Lunch: "Gather! Gut Health First Graders"

"Gather! Gut Health First Graders" is an experiential program held in a classroom at HOME/WORK VILLAGE, which retains a school atmosphere. Participants will learn the basic knowledge of the gut and fermented dietary fiber while actually eating school lunch containing fermented dietary fiber. The lesson will be taught by Maki Shibata, a chef, culinary researcher, and registered dietitian. She will explain the functions of the gut, which is considered essential for beauty and health, and how to incorporate gut health into daily meals, in an easy-to-understand manner for beginners.

During the festival period, the "Hungry Good Bacteria Stamp Rally" will be held simultaneously, where participants can explore the HOME/WORK VILLAGE building. With the concept of collecting food for good bacteria, participants who collect stamps placed at three locations within the building can exchange them for prizes at KINNOE.

During the KINNOE518 Festival, seven restaurants within HOME/WORK VILLAGE will offer "518 (Fiber) Collaboration Menus" that include fermented dietary fiber.
