Ofuro Cafe Hareniwa no Yu (Kumagaya, Saitama), operated by Onsen Dojo Co., Ltd., will hold 'Uchiwa Workshops' every Sunday in June 2026.

In Kumagaya, where temperatures often exceed 30°C as early as May, heatstroke prevention is essential. Furthermore, the city hosts the 'Kumagaya Uchiwa Festival' from July 20th to 22nd, which is recognized as one of Saitama's three major festivals alongside the Chichibu Night Festival and Kawagoe Festival. By walking through the festival with a self-made fan, the facility hopes to turn the summer heat into a joyful memory for participants. The workshop welcomes families and individual adults alike.

### Workshop Details Participants start with a plain white fan and apply the 'Orizome' technique, which involves folding washi paper and coloring it with dyes. After enjoying the vibrant spread of colors and finishing their original design, participants will add a Hareniwa original sticker to complete their fan. Staff will be available for support, ensuring that even children participating for the first time can join with ease.
