Ofuro Cafe Utatane Launches 'Shaved Ice Event: More Than Just Eating' Featuring Bath, Food, and Cool Summer Experiences

Ofuro Cafe Utatane (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture), operated by Onsen Dōjō Co., Ltd. (Tokigawa Town, Hiki District, Saitama Prefecture; President & CEO: Toshiki Yamazaki), will launch the 'Shaved Ice Event: More Than Just Eating' starting Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Throughout the event period, special shaved ice-themed experiences will be held in the bathing area, including 'Shaved Ice Shampoo,' 'Shaved Ice Cold Bath,' and 'Shaved Ice Löyly.' Guests are also invited to enjoy the ongoing 'Regional Shaved Ice Battle' menu at the facility’s cafe.

- Shaved Ice Shampoo

On days when the maximum temperature exceeds 35°C, 'Shaved Ice Shampoo' will be offered in the bathing area. A chilled shaved ice and cooling shampoo are placed directly on the head, delivering an intense, refreshing sensation that spreads from the scalp. Experience an ultimate feeling that cannot be achieved with a regular shower.

- Shaved Ice Cold Bath

The men’s and women’s cold baths will be filled with generous amounts of shaved ice to create an 'ice-cold bath.' After a hot sauna session, your heated body will be gently yet sharply enveloped by the chilling water as the ice melts. Feel the uniquely refreshing, almost freezing coolness that only this season can offer.

Ice Drop Times: 16:30, 18:30, 21:30

- Shaved Ice Löyly

In the sauna room, a special 'Löyly' session will be held using custom-made 'Shaved Ice Kugel' (ice balls). As the sauna heat slowly melts the ice, a gentle mist fills the room. Enjoy a uniquely cool fragrance and humidity, different from the usual sauna experience, created by the melting shaved ice.
