Ono Sokki Co., Ltd. (President: Yuji Ogoshi) and Chino Corporation (President & CEO: Mikio Toyoda) have announced a partnership to jointly develop the 'Thermal-VRS Thermal Transient Bench' for electric vehicles. This test bench allows for the evaluation of thermal management systems by simulating vehicle conditions for specific components. By utilizing a development environment that integrates physical hardware with virtual models, the system contributes to faster, more efficient development, reduced lead times, and optimized energy efficiency. In traditional internal combustion engine vehicle development, powertrain and HVAC testing were conducted component by component. However, with the shift to electric vehicles, the two companies have combined their strengths to develop a test bench capable of comprehensive vehicle testing. Moving forward, the companies plan to launch the bench and install it at Ono Sokki's Utsunomiya Technical & Product Center to advance next-generation mobility testing. The sales launch is scheduled for the end of 2026.
