I. Comparison of Consolidated Revenue for June 2026 vs. May 2026: The consolidated revenue for June 2026 was NT$13.97627 billion, a decrease of NT$975.14 million (6.5%) compared to May 2026. The details are as follows:
1. Revenue decrease due to price difference: NT$1.47 billion On June 17, the U.S. and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding to resolve their conflict, leading to the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. International crude oil and naphtha prices immediately declined, causing ethylene and propylene prices to fall in tandem, which dragged down the market prices of petrochemical products. As a result, the average selling prices of the Company's major products in June 2026 decreased by 4% to 20% compared to May.
2. Revenue increase due to volume difference: NT$500 million Due to shipping schedule adjustments by liquid caustic soda export customers, some orders from May were delayed to June for delivery. Therefore, the Company's liquid caustic soda sales volume in June 2026 increased by 23,000 metric tons compared to May.
II. Comparison of Consolidated Revenue for June 2026 vs. June 2025: The consolidated revenue for June 2026 was NT$13.97627 billion, a decrease of NT$385.84 million (2.7%) compared to June 2025. The details are as follows:
1. Revenue decrease due to volume difference: NT$3.75 billion The outbreak of the U.S.-Iran war disrupted crude oil and naphtha supplies from the Middle East. Formosa Petrochemical Corporation reduced raw material supply, prompting the Company to lower production rates across various products. Additionally, as Middle East tensions eased in June, customer procurement became more conservative. Consequently, the total sales volume of the Company's major products in June 2026 decreased by 148,000 metric tons compared to the same period last year.
2. Revenue increase due to price difference: NT$3.37 billion Following the U.S.-Iran conflict in late February, crude oil, naphtha, and raw material prices for ethylene and propylene rose, pushing up petrochemical product prices. As a result, the average selling prices of the Company's major products in June 2026 increased by 16% to 63% compared to the same period last year.
