You are the Future of Mad-Modification Engineers! OREC Holds Free Workshop for Parents and Children

OREC Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Hirokawa Town, Yame District, Fukuoka Prefecture; President: Kenji Imamura) will hold a parent-child workshop for elementary school students and their guardians titled "You are the Future of Mad-Modification Engineers!" on August 1, 2026 (Sat).

This workshop will introduce OREC's challenges and passion for manufacturing, which gained attention on the popular NHK program "Mad-Modification Night," and participants will try assembling models of mad-modification monsters themselves. This hands-on event is recommended for summer vacation free studies and creating memories.

The content is designed for children to experience the joy of manufacturing and the fun of thinking while working with their own hands.

Workshop Overview

Date & Time: August 1, 2026 (Sat) Part 1: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Part 2: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Venue: OREC green lab Fukuoka 3rd Floor (1-13-1 Akasaka, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City)

Target Audience: Elementary school students and one guardian each *Recommended for 3rd-4th graders

Capacity: 6 groups per session (first-come, first-served)

Participation Fee: Free

Application Deadline: July 31, 2026 (Fri) 12:00 PM *As this is on a first-come, first-served basis, registration will close once capacity is reached.

Purpose of the Workshop

OREC has received much support through its participation in "Mad-Modification Night." This workshop is held with the desire to convey the joy of manufacturing and the excitement of taking on challenges to the next generation. By learning through hands-on activities, we aim to foster children's curiosity and creativity, and deepen their interest in manufacturing.
