Main Objectives and Features of the "Oticon Hearing Aids 2nd Mimito Professional Seminar"

 Provide opportunities for knowledge and skill enhancement for professionals involved in multidisciplinary collaboration in hearing care.

 Practical lectures by experienced professionals active in hearing aid fitting.

 Introduction of fitting knowledge and techniques that can be immediately applied in the field.

 Real-time viewing from across the country is possible due to the hybrid format.

 Networking opportunities between speakers and participants for those attending in person.

Background of the Event

Oticon Hearing Aids is a leader in the industry, developing hearing aid technology that contributes to improving the quality of life for individuals with hearing difficulties, under its corporate philosophy of "Life-Changing Technology."

In Japan, the hearing aid adoption rate is low compared to other countries, and one of the contributing factors is the shortage of specialized personnel and the need for further improvement of the knowledge and skills required of these professionals.

To address these challenges, we held this seminar for the first time last year, and it was well-received by many participants. According to a post-seminar survey, 98% of participants responded that it was "very good" or "good," confirming a high level of satisfaction. Furthermore, in response to the question "Would you like to participate again?", 100% of participants expressed their desire to attend.

In response to this feedback, we have further enhanced the content and will hold the 2nd seminar this year.

Supervisors & Speakers

This seminar will feature speakers who were well-received last year. They will lecture on the types of audiograms for Japanese speakers, which are important for hearing aid fitting, and fitting techniques that consider brain energy consumption, sharing insights from their daily clinical practice supporting hearing aid users. A mock case study session and Q&A session with the speakers will also be held.

Comment from Toru Saito, President of Oticon Hearing Aids

We are sincerely delighted to be able to hold the "Mimito Professional Seminar" again this year, following its great success last year. We are constantly working on developing hearing aids equipped with advanced technology. However, to fully utilize these functions and improve the hearing of our users, appropriate support from professionals involved in counseling and fitting is essential. The true value of hearing aids is only realized through proper adjustment and support by experts. We aim to continue contributing to the improvement of hearing aid adoption rates and user satisfaction in Japan together with professionals.

We hope this seminar will be a beneficial opportunity for many to confirm useful knowledge and skills for their practice.
