[Unreleased in Japan / 19 Awards in 9 Countries] Movie 'TOKYO STRANGE TALE' to be Released at Ikebukuro Cinema Rosa on April 11, 2026; Trailer and Cast Interview Video Revealed

OTOGURO WORKS (Representative: Fumitomo Otoguro) announces that the feature film 'TOKYO STRANGE TALE' (Director/Screenplay: Koichi Ueno) will be released at the Ikebukuro Cinema Rosa 'Indies Film Show' starting April 11, 2026.

Despite being a completely independent production, this feature film gained recognition at international film festivals before its release in Japan. It has been submitted to about 50 film festivals to date, winning 19 awards across 9 countries worldwide.

It won the Audience Award at the 20th ÉCU – THE EUROPEAN INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL held in Paris, France. It was also selected as the closing film at the Portland Horror Film Festival in the U.S., and won Best Supporting Actor and Best Production Design at the Bridges International Film Festival in Greece.

This film will be screened at the Ikebukuro Cinema Rosa 'Indies Film Show'. The Ikebukuro Cinema Rosa 'Indies Film Show' is known as a screening slot that has produced indie film hits such as 'One Cut of the Dead' (Director: Shinichiro Ueda) and 'A Samurai in Time' (Director: Junichi Yasuda).

Furthermore, prior to the release, the following will take place: - Large digital vision display and pop-up event at Shibuya Modi (March 23-29, 2026) - Store and digital signage deployment through corporate collaboration with Yamahiro Co., Ltd. - Live guest appearance by Fumitomo Otoguro on Radio Nippon's 'SWEET!!' (March 31, 2026)

With the decision to screen at the 'Indies Film Show' and these promotional developments underway, the film is attracting a great deal of attention even before its release.
