Pal-system Expands Childcare Support Initiative with 29th Municipal Agreement in Tokai Village, Ibaraki

The Pal-system Ibaraki Tochigi Consumers' Co-operative Union (Headquarters: Mito City, Ibaraki; President: Yasuyo Aoki) and Tokai Village (Mayor: Osamu Yamada) will hold a signing ceremony for a childcare support agreement on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Tokai Village government office. Based on this agreement, Pal-system will deliver a package of products useful for child-rearing to families who apply. Through this collaboration between the local government and the co-op, the initiative aims to foster an environment where villagers can raise children with confidence and all children can grow up healthy.

Under the "Partnership Agreement for the Promotion of Childcare Support," Tokai Village will distribute information cards for a "Hagu♡Kumi Gift"—a congratulatory gift for newborns—during its "Baby Hiroba" events for infants aged 6-7 months. Families who apply will receive complimentary items such as baby food like "Baby Spaghetti" and "Okosama Senbei" (child-friendly rice crackers), along with a recipe book for preparing baby meals.

Pal-system will deliver the "Hagu♡Kumi Gift" directly to the applicants' homes on behalf of the village. During these visits, delivery staff will also provide information prepared by the village, such as a list of childcare consultation services and support groups, linking the delivery to a "community watch" activity to support parents with their concerns. As a co-op that supports families, Pal-system will handle the provision and delivery of these products.

This agreement with Tokai Village is the 29th childcare support partnership with a municipality that the co-op has established since fiscal year 2024, expanding its community-wide efforts to support child-rearing.

Pal-system utilizes its community-based co-op delivery infrastructure to provide useful original products for childcare, information on parenting-related exchange events held with members, and content from its proprietary childcare website, "Kosodate 123."

Pal-system Ibaraki Tochigi will continue to actively disseminate childcare information and collaborate with local governments and various other stakeholders to create a community where everyone can raise children with peace of mind.
