Pan For You, which operates 'Pansuku,' a service delivering frozen bread from bakeries across Japan, has announced the results of a survey conducted among Pansuku members and bread enthusiasts nationwide. Amidst rising food prices and increased frugality, it has become clear that 56.2% of bread lovers spend over 3,000 yen per month on bread. Among them, 4.2% are core enthusiasts spending over 10,000 yen monthly. The reality of 'devoted consumption'—the feeling that 'I won't compromise on bread'—has been highlighted. The survey found that 59.3% of high-spenders (those spending over 5,000 yen monthly) choose 'simple breads like shokupan' for breakfast. It is clear that they are not necessarily looking for luxurious bread, but rather 'simple bread where the quality of ingredients directly impacts the taste.'
