On May 29, 2026, the 30th anniversary of the maison, Parmigiani Fleurier announced the 'Carillon Tourbillon,' a timepiece that encapsulates its history and the philosophy of founder Michel Parmigiani.
The 'Carillon Tourbillon' is one of the most exquisite embodiments of the maison's culture. Born from the art of restoration and shaped by hand, this rare 'musical timepiece' was conceived as an instrument to mark memories.
Inspired by an early 19th-century Perrin Frères pocket watch from the Sandoz Family Foundation, which was restored in the Parmigiani Fleurier workshop in 2000, this timepiece is not merely a reproduction of the past. It inherits the intelligence found in sound, movement, balance, and horological structure to carry it into the future. Entirely completed in-house—from conception and development to manufacturing, assembly, and finishing—this model breathes with the vision of Michel Parmigiani and the savoir-faire of the manufacture's watchmakers, designers, artisans, and finishing specialists.
Equipped with a minute repeater featuring four gongs, the 'Carillon Tourbillon' consists of 456 parts meticulously assembled by hand, achieving an impressive power reserve of approximately 12 days.
Since its inception, the maison has been guided by the conviction that 'to create, one must first understand.' Starting with an understanding of the structure, energy, balance, and timeless intelligence of historical masterpieces, the collective wisdom of watchmakers, artisans, and restorers has culminated in a single piece of 'sonic architecture.'
Thirty years after its founding, Parmigiani Fleurier continues to walk with this legacy as its guide. With gratitude and respect, the maison remains committed to passing on what has been entrusted to it and continuing to embody the philosophy of 'mechanical art.'
