Bagel House KOTOHIRA, operated by Chiho Sosei Co., Ltd., which develops lodging and dining facilities in Kotohira, Kagawa, has become the first bagel shop in Japan to receive the JAS0026 certification (management methods for restaurants providing vegetarian and vegan cuisine). With this certification, the shop will launch nationwide e-commerce sales and wholesale operations for hotels, inns, and retailers starting June 1, 2026. Amidst the rise in inbound tourism and health consciousness, there is a growing demand for food diversity. The shop spent about a year and a half meeting strict standards to establish a management system based on national criteria. Moving forward, the company aims to contribute to sustainable regional development by utilizing vacant houses and exploring overseas markets.
