In recent years, with the increase in cyberattacks originating from supply chains, there has been a shift from individual company measures to measures across the entire supply chain, including business partners. In the "Top 10 Threats in Information Security"*1 published by IPA (Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan), attacks targeting supply chains and contractors are consistently ranked high. This has become an important management issue, especially as cases of targeting business partners such as small and medium-sized enterprises, which tend to have weaker security measures, are increasing. Amidst this situation, the SCS Evaluation System*2, led by IPA under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, is scheduled to be introduced by the end of fiscal year 2026. As a mechanism to visualize companies' security measure status with common criteria, it is expected that there will be an increasing number of situations where business partners will request the acquisition of this evaluation in the future.

Persol Cross Technology has been involved in companies' cybersecurity measures through a wide range of support, from consulting to system development, operation, and maintenance. In these on-site situations, many challenges are heard, such as "I don't know where to start" and "We lack the personnel and know-how required to obtain the evaluation."

In response to these on-site challenges, we have launched this service based on our accumulated knowledge and technical capabilities to provide a feasible approach for strengthening the security resilience of the entire supply chain.

Generally, ★3 is considered the basic level of measures required for all companies, and ★4 is considered the standard level of measures including more advanced management and operations. This service primarily supports measures for these stages. Overview of "SCS Evaluation System Support Service"

This service provides integrated support from understanding the current situation and organizing issues to formulating a roadmap for implementation, in order to proceed with measures for SCS ★3 and ★4 evaluation criteria.

1 Hearing (Understanding Current Situation) We grasp the IT environment and existing security measures through checklists and interviews, visualizing the current situation including operational realities and systems.

2 Gap Analysis (Issue Identification) We compare the requirements of SCS ★3 and ★4 in the evaluation system with the current situation to identify missing items and areas that need organization. We visualize the points requiring action, including not only documentation such as regulations and ledgers but also technical measures and operational challenges.

3 Prioritization of Action Plan (Roadmap Formulation) For the identified issues, we organize "what needs to be done by when and to what extent" to obtain the evaluation, and summarize it as a prioritized action plan. We present a realistic approach as a roadmap, looking ahead to the execution phase.

〈Sample Action Plan〉

Starting from the issues and plans organized through this service, we will support continuous SCS Evaluation System compliance by gradually expanding to improvement execution and operational support according to customer needs.

Through these initiatives, Persol Cross Technology will contribute to improving the security level of the entire supply chain and building a system that can be operated sustainably.
