Phiten Co., Ltd. (Location: Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, Representative Director: Yoshihiro Hirata, hereinafter Phiten), a body care company, will set up "Recovery Cool Spots" at 154 Phiten shops nationwide from Friday, July 10, 2026, for a limited time. This initiative aims to provide a cooling recovery experience where customers can rest in a cool environment and condition their bodies, in response to the increasing risk of health problems due to recent heatwaves. Furthermore, some stores in Tokyo will be registered as government-designated "Cooling Shelters," strengthening the acceptance environment for local residents to safely escape the heat.

In recent years, due to factors such as global warming, rising temperatures and increasingly frequent heatwave days have made heatstroke prevention more important than ever. Heat not only increases the risk of heatstroke but also affects daily condition in various ways, such as reduced sleep quality, accumulated fatigue, and decreased concentration. Through this project, Phiten proposes the concept of "cool recovery," which involves conditioning the body appropriately while resting without overexertion, even in hot weather.

We aim to support health maintenance and comfortable living during heatwaves by creating an environment where local residents can spend their time safely, and by offering body care solutions for heatwave measures that leverage Phiten's proposed concept of relaxation and recovery.

What is the "Recovery Cool Spot" proposed by Phiten Shops?

This is a "space within Phiten Shops where you can rest and recover while staying cool." Customers can casually cool down in the store and receive refreshing body care suggestions and experiences (※) utilizing cooling items. (※Provided content may vary by store).

Phiten Shops operate as "Body Care Shops" that cater to various concerns such as sports, physical discomfort, beauty, sleep, and fatigue recovery. Staff are always available at the stores to discuss customers' physical concerns and propose products and care methods tailored to their usage scenarios and areas they wish to care for.

Customers can also experience selected products and health equipment for free, and some stores offer a "Fatigue Recovery Corner" equipped with devices like foot care machines.

This initiative goes beyond simply "providing a cool place to rest" by combining it with the value of "recovery" unique to a body care brand, and will be promoted as a new measure against heatwaves, focusing on fatigue and decreased condition caused by the heat.
