The Nukata Hydrangea Garden, located on the slopes of Mt. Ikoma along the border of East Osaka and Ikoma City, features colorful hydrangeas along a 1.5km mountain trail winding path. The peak viewing season runs from late June to early July, attracting crowds as one of the largest hydrangea spots in the Kansai region. The garden is accessible via multiple hiking trails. During the peak season, the Hydrangea Festival (Ajisai Matsuri) takes place from June 20 to July 12, showcasing the rare Shichidanka variety. To enhance the hiking experience, local shops participate in the 'Ikoma Ice' project, serving original mountain-themed shaved ice. Visitors can also walk to the nearby Ikoma Sanjo Amusement Park at an altitude of 642 meters to view the Osaka Plain. The East Osaka and Mt. Ikoma area is located about 20 minutes by train from central Osaka.
