PingCAP Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Eric Han; hereinafter referred to as PingCAP) will be a silver sponsor for "AI Dev Day 2026," an event for sharing technical knowledge to be held on July 24, 2026 (Fri).
This event is a community festival, "AI Dev Day (formerly: AOAI Dev Day)," for all business professionals and engineers who want to fundamentally change the way business and development are done using AI.
AI is no longer just for coding assistance. This technical conference will cover the practice of "AI-first SDLC" that transforms the entire development lifecycle from planning, design, and architecture to testing and review, as well as seamless agent building experiences, key points for design and operation to move from PoC to production, and essential aspects of management and governance to support continuous utilization.
PingCAP will have a booth exhibition and a session presentation at the venue on the day. Our engineers will also be stationed at the booth to introduce use cases for TiDB and provide technical consultations. Please feel free to stop by.

Session Overview
Session Date and Time: July 24, 2026 (Fri) 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM
Venue: Breakout Track #2
Session Title: From RAG to Agent Memory with a Single Database - Introduction to TiDB X and Practical Vector/Full-Text Search
Session Content:
"Search" and "memory" significantly impact the accuracy of generative AI applications and AI agents. This session will introduce TiDB X, which allows RAG to agent memory to be completed within a single database, and explain its strengths as a hybrid RAG foundation that can handle vector search and full-text search (FTS) with standard SQL. The latter half will introduce patterns for implementing AI agent "memory," such as how to store and reference conversation history, user information, and long-term memory, with concrete examples and demos.

About TiDB
The distributed NewSQL database "TiDB (pronounced Tie-Dee-Bee)" is being introduced into mission-critical systems in a wide variety of industries, including gaming, finance, payment services, e-commerce, content services, telecommunications, manufacturing, distribution, and media, and has been adopted by over 4,000 companies worldwide. TiDB allows data access using SQL, similar to traditional relational databases, and its distributed architecture provides horizontal scalability, strong consistency, high availability compatible with MySQL, and high-performance analytical processing through columnar storage, meeting diverse data processing needs.
With the adoption of the new architecture "TiDB X," it is evolving into a next-generation foundation that supports multi-models, including vector search. In addition to high scalability and cost efficiency, it can handle the workload of AI agents that process large volumes of on-demand queries in a highly parallel manner.
About PingCAP
PingCAP was founded in 2015 as an enterprise software service provider committed to delivering open-source, cloud-native, one-stop database solutions. The name PingCAP combines the command "Ping," used to check network connectivity, with "CAP" from the CAP theorem. The CAP theorem states that one must choose two out of three: C (Consistency), A (Availability), and P (Partition Tolerance). PingCAP's name reflects the desire to connect to all three.
