International NGO Plan International (Location: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Chairperson: Kiyoko Ikegami; hereinafter 'Plan') will jointly hold a free webinar titled 'How to Connect Social Contribution to Brand Value, Recruitment, and Employee Engagement?' on Friday, June 19, 2026, targeting corporate officers in charge of PR, Sustainability, CSR/ESG/DEI. This is in collaboration with gooddo Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & Representative Director: Keisuke Shimogaki; hereinafter 'gooddo'), a consolidated subsidiary of Septeni Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yuichi Kamino; Securities Code: 4293).

'Women's Empowerment Support' and 'Gender Equality' That Will Determine Future Corporate Growth

Corporate SDGs and sustainability activities are now required to go beyond mere donations or financial support, connecting to corporate value such as brand building, employee engagement, DE&I, human capital management, and building relationships with the next generation.

Japan ranks lowest among G7 countries in the Gender Gap Index, indicating a significant gender disparity globally (Note 1). Consequently, 'women's empowerment support and gender equality' are gaining attention as critical themes for companies to address.

Meanwhile, Plan annually conducts various awareness and collaborative programs around the International Day of the Girl (Note 2) on October 11. In 2026, Plan will launch the 'Plan Girls Movement 2026 Jibun Rashisa Kenkyujo (Self-Identity Lab),' creating a space where young women can 'discover their true selves and express themselves safely' in collaboration with companies.

Against this backdrop, Plan has partnered with gooddo, which supports the planning and co-creation of many corporate CSR and sustainability activities, to hold this webinar.

On the day, gooddo will introduce recent changes surrounding sustainability activities. Additionally, Mirei Koizumi, a former CMO at foreign-affiliated companies and currently CMO/Director of Marketing & Communications Department at Plan, will take the stage. Starting from the International Day of the Girl, she will discuss the significance of companies engaging in gender equality, methods to connect social contribution to brand value, recruitment, and employee engagement, and provide specific practical tips.

The webinar will also explain how companies can participate as partners in the 'Plan Girls Movement 2026' as an action for the International Day of the Girl.

Note 1: Reference: https://www.plan-international.jp/news/20250613_info-51/ Note 2: A day designated by the United Nations to call upon the international community to promote the 'rights of girls' and the 'empowerment of girls.' *Empowerment refers to the power necessary for women to choose all life options of their own volition and to gain the ability to participate equally in decision-making within the household and society.
