Plenus Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ginza, Chuo-ku, President and CEO: Shiro Kaneko) operates 2,820 stores nationwide as of the end of May 2026, including the bento box chain "Hotto Motto," the set meal restaurant "Yayoi-ken," the shabu-shabu and authentic dim sum restaurant "MK Restaurant," and the ramen shop "KAYAVA."

To pass on the wonders of Japanese rice culture to the future, our company has been engaged in various initiatives as part of our Plenus Rice Culture Inheritance Activities since 2014. As part of these efforts, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, we will hold a parent-child event, the "Paddy Field Creature Survey," at "Plenus Saitama Kazo Farm" in Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture.

This event aims to help participants learn the importance of "food" and "agriculture" through interaction with the diverse creatures that inhabit paddy fields, while also deepening their understanding of "biodiversity" and environmental conservation. Paddy fields are not only places where rice is grown but also ecosystems that nurture many living things. This event allows participants to learn about this role through hands-on experience.

1. Program Details

On the day, participants will enter the paddy fields to capture, observe, and record creatures. Afterward, experts will provide explanations to deepen understanding. This program is recommended for summer vacation research projects and allows parents and children to learn while having fun.
