Polatech Co., Ltd. Wins Bronze Prize at '2026 PWA Awards' for "Kashiwa Wood Terrace" - Recognized for Integrated Design, Structural Engineering, and Pre-cut Processing

Kashiwa Wood Terrace (Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture)

This is a two-story wooden office building with a total floor area of 877 square meters. By handling everything from architectural and structural design to pre-cut processing in-house, we resolved the complex fitting issues specific to medium-to-large scale buildings through "optimization of factory processing."

For the expansive openings on the second floor, we adopted pipe processing for column base metal fittings. By also utilizing our self-developed "Uni-Bar," we have achieved a clean finish while ensuring high seismic performance.

The framework of wooden structures is a crucial element in planning low-rise, non-residential wooden buildings, technically supported by pre-cut CAD technicians in terms of wood selection and processing. This award aims to increase societal recognition of the efforts of pre-cut CAD technicians, which have been difficult to see until now, and to reaffirm that pre-cut CAD work is an attractive and highly responsible profession. We hope this will lead to the further popularization of low-rise, non-residential wooden construction in the future.
