20th Anniversary Special Project for "Rakudai Majo Series": Reading Play "Rakudai Majo and the First Love" Featuring a Star-Studded Voice Cast Announced!

The popular children's book series "Rakudai Majo" (written by Satoko Narita / illustrated by Enaga Chino), published by Poplar Publishing Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Yuki Kato), will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. To express gratitude to everyone who has supported the series, the first-ever "reading play" for the Rakumajo series has been decided. The cast includes Honoka Inoue (as Fuuka), Mutsumi Tamura (as Chitose), Manaka Iwami (as Karin), Nobuhiko Okamoto (as Kai), Naomi Oozora (as Psyche), and Yuki Takada (as Saya). This star-studded cast will bring the world of "Rakudai Majo" to life through a reading play.

About the "Rakudai Majo" Series

A children's book series by Satoko Narita (writing) and Enaga Chino (illustration). It began in 2006 in the Poplar Pocket Bunko series. Including the first installment, "Rakudai Majo wa Purinsesu" (winner of the 1st Dream Smash! Grand Prize), 19 titles have been published to date. The series has a cumulative circulation of over 1.6 million copies. In 2023, it was adapted into its first feature film.

The protagonist, Fuuka, is a clumsy and accident-prone apprentice witch who is always making mistakes. But, she is actually the princess of the Silver Castle in the magic kingdom...!? The story depicts the exciting adventures of Fuuka and her friends training at magic school, and a little bit of first love. The charming characters and the grand, unmissable storyline that involves the past and future of the magic kingdom are widely supported by children and adults alike.
