PowerX Inc. has received an order for 102 units of its grid-scale energy storage system, 'Mega Power 2500' (total capacity: 255.7 MWh), for a new high-voltage energy storage station in Hokkaido, developed by an affiliate of Machiokoshi Energy Co., Ltd. The system will connect to the Hokkaido power grid to stabilize supply and demand. This project has been selected for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's 'FY2025 Subsidy for Renewable Energy Expansion and Grid-Scale Battery Storage Systems.' The Mega Power 2500 is a 10-foot containerized lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery system produced in Tamano, Okayama, and Tomakomai, Hokkaido. Operations are scheduled to begin in fiscal 2029. PowerX remains committed to contributing to carbon neutrality through its domestically manufactured energy storage systems.
