Aichi Prefecture Launches Call for Proposals for 'Aichi Environmental Innovation Project' Aiming for Social Implementation of Innovative Environmental Technologies and Ideas

Aichi Prefecture is working to solve environmental issues such as achieving carbon neutrality. As part of this effort, it has been implementing the 'Aichi Environmental Innovation Project' since fiscal year 2023, aiming to create and implement environmental innovations originating from Aichi by collaborating with startups and others that have innovative technologies and ideas.

This fiscal year as well, to create new innovative projects, the prefecture is calling for innovative technologies and ideas from startups and others nationwide. We encourage you to apply.

Additionally, to match companies seeking innovation in the environmental field with startups possessing innovative technologies and ideas, a 'Reverse Pitch Event' will be held where companies present their environmental challenges and needs. Those involved in environmental business or research, including startups, are encouraged to participate.

1. About the Call for Proposals for the Aichi Environmental Innovation Project

(1) Eligibility

Startups nationwide (including companies launching new businesses and universities)

(2) Topics for Proposals

Theme 1: Energy creation and utilization models Theme 2: Carbon recycling models through greenhouse gas absorption and utilization Theme 3: Models for realizing a sustainable society in collaboration with prefectural residents and businesses Theme 4: Circular economy business models through effective use of local resources Theme 5: Models for visualizing the value of nature Theme 6: Other innovative models for environmental issues

(3) Application Period

Until Friday, July 17

(4) Number of Selections

4 projects (selection around late September) *Support period is approximately 2.5 years until March 2029

(5) Support Provided

Matching support, expense support (up to 2.2 million yen per project per year), provision/introduction of demonstration fields, etc.
