Hokkaido Announces 'One Tree per Person' Social Media Campaign for Tree Planting and Tending

Hokkaido Prefecture is conducting the 'One Tree per Person Tree Planting and Tending Movement' SNS Post Campaign, a collaborative project between the prefecture and its partner companies and organizations.

We invite all Hokkaido residents to post episodes and photos of their tree planting and tending activities conducted within Hokkaido—whether at events or at home—using the hashtags '#道植樹' and '#道育樹'.

Ten lucky winners will be selected by lottery to receive a set of luxury prizes provided by our partner companies and organizations.

[Campaign Overview] 1. Application Period: Monday, June 1, 2026 – Wednesday, September 30, 2026 2. Submission Content: Episodes and photos of tree planting/tending activities performed within Hokkaido. - Tree Planting: Planting seedlings or seeds. - Tree Tending: Maintaining forests through activities like weeding or pruning. 3. How to Participate: Post your photos and episodes with the hashtags '#道植樹' and '#道育樹'. 4. Organizer: Forestry and Marine Environment Division, Hokkaido Department of Fisheries and Forestry. 5. Partner Companies/Organizations (6 companies, 2 organizations): Kuwazawa Holdings Co., Ltd., Coop Sapporo, Tsuken Co., Ltd., Toyota Motor Hokkaido, Inc., Nissay Green Foundation, Hokusei Shinkin Bank, Hokkaido Sakura Association, Hokkaido Forest and Greenery Association. 6. Other Details: - Multiple posts are allowed as long as they refer to different events (same content is acceptable if posted on different platforms). - Accepted Platforms: Facebook, Instagram, X. - Participation is open to individuals and corporations alike.
