Kanagawa Prefecture is launching a wide-ranging support program for sports activities, utilizing the latest sports medicine and science. From athletes and para-athletes aiming to improve their performance to those actively engaged in sports, we offer tailored support to meet individual and team needs. We invite you to participate.
1. Online Special Seminar We are hosting a free online seminar on the importance of sports science. It is designed for coaches, parents of athletes, and anyone involved in sports to deepen their understanding of the latest sports science information. (1) Date: Friday, June 19, 2026, 19:00–19:30 (2) Target: Athletes, para-athletes, their parents, coaches, and sports enthusiasts in the prefecture. (3) Theme: Mindsets required for coaches and parents in the Reiwa era. (4) Lecturer: Kosei Inoue (Professor at Tokai University, JOC Head of Athlete Development, etc.) (5) Fee: Free
2. Group Athlete Support Course We provide customized support for teams such as school clubs and sports teams. Through basic testing, we visualize individual physical capabilities and provide feedback from experts to improve team performance. We also dispatch experts to your daily activity locations for specialized training and nutritional guidance. (1) Date: Determined upon consultation. (2) Target: Primarily junior high and high school clubs/teams (4–30 participants). (3) Menus: Basic testing, training guidance, nutritional guidance.
3. Individual Athlete Support Course We provide personalized, expert support focused on solving individual challenges and improving performance. Using equipment at Asante Sports Park (Prefectural Sports Center), we conduct stamina and power testing to provide detailed insights into physical capabilities. (1) Date: Scheduled in Oct/Dec 2026 and Feb 2027. (2) Target: Athletes in high school or above (1–3 participants). (3) Menus: Stamina testing, power testing, personal training, personal nutritional guidance.
4. Junior Expert Testing Measure physical and athletic capabilities using Asante Sports Park equipment. Visualizing these abilities helps identify and solve individual challenges. (1) Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026. (2) Venue: Asante Sports Park. (3) Target: Elementary and junior high students (30 per session). (4) Fee: 500 yen.
5. Sports Medicine & Nutrition Support Lectures Free online lectures on sports medicine and nutrition. Topics include training, sports psychology, and diet, providing useful information for athletes, coaches, and parents. (1) Target: Athletes, parents, coaches, and sports enthusiasts. (2) Schedule: 8 sessions from July to December featuring experts like Seiji Aruga and Tomonokaze Sakurai. (3) Fee: Free.
6. Application (1) Starts: Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 14:00. (2) Method: Via the dedicated online form or the official website.
