Tottori Prefecture Presents First 'Tottori Prefecture Champion Honor Award' to Takeru

On June 1, 2026, Tottori Prefecture presented the 'Tottori Prefecture Champion Honor Award' to Takeru, a Tottori Hometown Ambassador, at the 'Takeru Retirement Commemorative Party in Yonago.' This award was newly established to honor athletes who have reached the pinnacle of their fields, with Takeru being the first recipient. Takeru achieved the first-ever three-division championship in K-1 history and secured a TKO victory in his final match. During the ceremony, Governor Hirai presented him with a certificate and 5.222 kg of Tottori Wagyu beef, symbolizing the timing of his victory. Takeru expressed his commitment to promoting his hometown and inspiring children to pursue their dreams.
