(Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; President and CEO: Masanori Harada), which plans and sells condominiums, will newly install dual-purpose emergency rescue signboards called 'Tankanban'—which can be used as stretchers during emergencies—at a total of nine condominium construction sites across the Kansai region that it is constructing, from late June to mid-July 2026, in order to enhance local disaster resilience.

In recent years, natural disasters such as extreme heat and earthquakes have been increasing nationwide, and preparedness for disasters involving businesses and communities—not just governments and municipalities—is increasingly required. The Pressance Group has decided on this initiative with the intention of making construction sites not just places of work, but also contributors to community safety.

The 'Tankanban' to be installed functions as a regular construction information signboard during normal times, but in an emergency, it can be instantly detached and converted into a stretcher with a single touch. In addition to its sturdy structure designed to be carried by multiple people, it is made of a special water-floating material, enabling it to serve as a life ring during floods or as a temporary bed on scorching hot ground.

Main Features of the 'Tankanban'

Manufactured and sold by Cloud Nine Co., Ltd. of Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture, the 'Tankanban' is an innovative product that serves as a signboard in daily use and as a rescue tool in emergencies.

・By simply removing and flipping over the stand on the back of the board, it instantly becomes an easy-to-handle stretcher, usable even by children and women.

・Features a robust aluminum frame capable of supporting over 100 kg. The back includes cushioning material gentle on the body, reducing the burden on the injured.

・Its water-floating design allows it to function as a life ring during floods. Additionally, its high heat-blocking effect enables it to serve as a temporary bed for collapsed individuals, even on extremely hot summer ground.
