As of Monday, May 18, 2026, the tulips at Takino Suzuran Hillside National Government Park have reached peak bloom. The 'Sai no Oka' (upper section) entered full bloom on May 16, followed by 'Niji no Oka' (lower section) on May 17. The hills are adorned with approximately 230,000 tulips across 120 varieties.

The 'Tulip & Lily of the Valley Festival 2026' is being held from May 16 to May 31. A highlight is the 'Takino Tulip Day' on Tuesday, May 19, a first-time collaboration with the Toyama Flower Bulb Agricultural Cooperative. This special day includes expert-led garden tours, talk shows, flower bulb giveaways, and exclusive access to the Country House terrace, offering visitors a deep dive into the world of tulips.

From May 23, additional attractions like the 'Fragrance Tulip Popularity Vote' and special rooftop access at the Central Entrance will begin. Throughout the festival, charming tulip-designed umbrellas are available for free rental, perfect for walks and photos in any weather. The peak bloom is expected to continue until around May 24.
