Kussharo Prince Hotel (Location: Kussharo Onsen, Kawakami District, Teshikaga Town, Hokkaido; General Manager: Yoshito Yanagisawa) will host a special four-day event, "Wine Gastronomy Journey," in collaboration with Kussharo Caldera Winery (Location: 329-3 Kussharo, Kawakami District, Teshikaga Town, Hokkaido; Head Winemaker: Natsuko Koryu). The event will feature "Teshika Barrel Aged 2024," a barrel-aged wine made from the "Yamakatsu" grape variety, nurtured by the rich nature of Kussharo Caldera, paired with a Western-style course meal incorporating abundant local ingredients such as Mashu Black Wagyu beef and cheese made from Teshikaga-produced milk.

In Kussharo, as autumn arrives, the trees on the mountains transform from deep green to crimson and gold, creating a beautiful landscape. Guests will have the opportunity to take a guided stroll through the vineyards during harvest season, offering a special moment to experience the unique natural charm of Kussharo Caldera.

Dinner will be served in "La Gloriette," a glass-enclosed lounge that offers an open and airy atmosphere, appearing to float on a pond. You can savor the flavors nurtured by the blessings of Kussharo Caldera, along with a Western-style course meal designed to complement the wines, highlighting the natural taste of local ingredients.

This event aims to deliver the unique autumn charm of Teshikaga Town through the marriage of ingredients born from nature and wine.

Guided Stroll to Kussharo Caldera Winery Vineyards

Kussharo Caldera Winery is located approximately a 12-minute walk and about 500 meters in a straight line from Kussharo Prince Hotel. At the winery, which opened in August 2024, you can stroll through approximately 4 hectares of vineyards and see the grapes, nurtured by the rich nature of Kussharo Caldera, ripening. Inside the winery, there is a tasting counter with large windows. The spectacular view overlooking the vineyards and the majestic Lake Kussharo beyond offers a unique landscape of this region. During your stroll, we will offer "Teshika Cider," a non-alcoholic beverage recommended by the winery. Enjoy the refreshing taste along with the autumn colors of Kussharo's nature.
