Karuizawa Prince Hotel (Location: Karuizawa-machi, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture; General Manager: Yuko Kageyama) and its wedding venue "Forestina Karuizawa" will cooperate with Ueda College of Technology, Department of Integrated Cultural Studies (hereinafter referred to as Ueda College of Technology) to facilitate a mock wedding ceremony conducted by students taking the "Bridal Field" course.
This initiative is scheduled to take place in February 2027 as the culmination of the students' two years of study. The students will take the lead in everything from devising the wedding concept to planning, directing, and managing the event on the day. The venue will be Forestina Karuizawa's chapel and banquet hall, providing a practical learning experience in an environment that closely resembles a real wedding venue. Currently, students are conducting venue tours and preparing presentations to decide on the wedding theme. The aim is to foster talent that can immediately contribute to the industry by providing students aspiring to work in the bridal sector with hands-on experience in a real wedding venue.
Karuizawa Prince Hotel is committed to contributing to human resource development and regional revitalization through collaboration with the local community and educational institutions. Ueda College of Technology is one of the educational institutions with ties to hotel employees, and graduates from the school have been active in various departments of the hotel, including the bridal department.

September 2026 - January 2027: Preparation and rehearsals for the mock wedding ceremony
February 2027: Mock wedding ceremony (ceremony and reception) to be held

Ueda College of Technology, Department of Integrated Cultural Studies
Opened in 1973 in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture. It emphasizes practical learning in cooperation with the local community and cultivates planning skills and hospitality mindsets through courses such as "Wedding Production." This institution has connections with our hotel employees, and graduates have been active in various departments of the hotel and leisure businesses, including the bridal department, accommodation, food and beverage, and golf courses. In this initiative, which is the second of its kind, a total of 24 students will be involved in overall management (wedding planner role), MC, service captain, hair and makeup, dressing, sound and visual production, paper item design, venue decoration (partial), and wedding cake design to create the mock wedding.

About Karuizawa Prince Hotel Forestina Karuizawa
In addition to two chapels, a garden wedding venue, and four banquet halls with private gardens, the venue also handles Shinto-style weddings and receptions in hotel banquet rooms. Currently, graduates of Ueda College of Technology (formerly Ueda Women's Junior College) are working as wedding planners at this venue. In this initiative, the venue will provide cooperation for the mock ceremony and reception, as well as assist with food and drink service for the mock reception and the creation of the wedding cake designed by the students.
