Collaboration Between the California Prune Board and Préférence

The California Prune Board has announced the release of two new baked goods featuring California Prunes at the bakery and patisserie 'Préférence,' located in Nakano, Tokyo.

California Prunes are recognized for their natural, sugar-free sweetness and rich flavor, as well as their balanced nutritional profile, including dietary fiber, potassium, and vitamin K. Recently, the bakery and confectionery industry has shown significant interest in the added value and taste benefits that prunes bring to menus.

This collaboration features two signature baked items: scones and financiers, both incorporating California Prunes. The patisserie has utilized its French baking techniques to highlight the deep sweetness and aroma of the prunes.

These products are scheduled to be sold at the 'Ma Patisserie 2026' event at Isetan Shinjuku (held from May 26 to June 1, 2026, at the Main Building 6th Floor Event Hall).

- **California Prune and Blueberry Scone** Features whole prune chunks and blueberry pulp. This specialty scone uses a custom flour blend for a crisp exterior and a fluffy interior, subtly accented with cinnamon and cardamom.
