[Eikei University] Student Buddy Presentation Session Held

Eikei University (President: Nobuhiro Aritomi, Nakaku, Hiroshima City) held its first presentation by student buddies on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Since last fiscal year, the university has introduced a 'Buddy System,' where newly enrolled international students are paired with local Japanese students (including international students who have lived in Japan) to conduct language exchange, support daily life in Japan, and engage in intercultural activities.

In this first-time initiative, representative buddy pairs took the stage to provide an overview of the Buddy System and share their wide-ranging experiences and lessons learned through their actual activities.

Along with photos of events they attended together and Japanese food they enjoyed, they conveyed how fulfilling their six-month exchange through the Buddy program had been.

Although they appeared nervous before the presentation, their peaceful smiles afterward left a strong impression, making it a presentation session filled with a sense of accomplishment.

We hope that through our Buddy System, exchanges between students will continue to deepen and create diverse connections in the future.
