Xandrie Japan, operator of the high-quality music streaming and download service Qobuz, will hold special talk events at OTOTEN2026, one of Japan's largest audio and home theater exhibitions hosted by the Japan Audio Society, on June 20 and 21, 2026, at the Tokyo International Forum.
Participation is free with advance registration, and the events will take place in Hall D5. The sessions will feature leading music creators, media professionals, and prominent audio critics discussing the appeal of Qobuz's hi-res audio.
On Saturday, June 20, composer yuma yamaguchi and audio critic Kenji Nomura will take the stage. On Sunday, June 21, Kenta Terunuma and Shun Fushimi from the YouTube channel "Tekeshun Music Info," alongside audio critic Hisaaki Hijikata, will conduct a talk session.
June 20, 13:00 – "Making Sound, Listening to Sound" (yuma yamaguchi × Kenji Nomura) They will analyze tracks produced by yuma yamaguchi, discussing production background and artistic intent, with Nomura providing insights from an audio critic's perspective.
June 21, 12:30 – "Listening to Favorite Tracks in Hi-Res" (Tekeshun × Hisaaki Hijikata) They will listen to popular J-POP tracks in hi-res quality, delving into their appeal from both musical criticism and audio critique viewpoints.
