Gats, a leather goods manufacturer based in Ibaraki, Osaka, has released the 'Shochihui hollage' mini-wallet to celebrate Pride Month. This product represents the fourth collaboration with writer and editor Nobuyuki Nakatani. The design utilizes a collage of clippings from 90s LGBT magazines and free papers, capturing the words and atmosphere of individuals who lived authentically during that era. Nakatani's inspiration dates back 30 years to his first trip to New York, where he encountered gay culture and collected local printed media. Despite its compact size (10x8x2cm, 50g), the wallet holds 10 to 20 bills, 20 to 30 coins, and 6 to 9 cards without folding the bills. Made with premium Tochigi leather, each piece is handcrafted by artisans at the company's workshop in Osaka. The wallet is priced at 17,380 yen (tax included). In addition, Gats features Nakatani's LGBTQ+ film column 'Theatre Niji' on their official website.
