radiko Releases "Podcast Channel Board" Feature to Embed Podcast Channels on Websites

radiko Inc. (CEO: Takao Ikeda, Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo), which provides the free service "radiko" for listening to radio and podcasts on smartphones and computers, has announced the release of the "Podcast Channel Board" feature. This new function allows broadcasters, businesses, and individuals to easily embed a list of radiko podcast episodes on their websites, owned media, or blog sites.

"Podcast Channel Board" Feature Overview

The "Podcast Channel Board" is an iframe player board that allows users to easily embed the playback player for podcast channels distributed on radiko into websites, blog sites that support iframes, and more.

It can display and play up to 20 episodes, starting from the latest, in a single board. The list automatically updates when new episodes are released, eliminating the need for modifications or maintenance after embedding.

It also supports 15-second skips and variable playback speeds, similar to the current radiko service.

Background and Objectives

Since launching its podcast service in February 2024, radiko has been working to diversify and expand its audio content. As user touchpoints have grown, reaching a cumulative 100 million downloads (radiko app) by March 2026, the demand for podcast content has also increased.

Previously, radiko offered an "Embedded Player for Podcasts" that allowed embedding individual episodes and sharing them from specific playback start points. Now, with the release of the "Podcast Channel Board," which enables embedding by channel without requiring updates, users can choose between embedding "by episode" or "by channel" depending on their needs.

This "Podcast Channel Board" offers a smoother listening experience. By embedding it on their owned media, broadcasters and podcast distributors, or performers on their own websites, can strengthen their connection with listeners and fans while maximizing radiko's reach.

It also makes it easier and more convenient for podcast listeners and fans to introduce and share podcast programs on iframe-compatible blog sites and other platforms.

This allows listeners to seamlessly access the latest episodes not only through the radiko app but also on various websites.

How to Use

Click the share button for a channel (or episode), select "Embed," set the vertical and horizontal dimensions, and press the "Copy" button to generate the embed code. The embedding is completed by pasting the generated iframe code into the HTML of your website.
