Redhorse Corporation, a company specializing in regional revitalization, is launching its first co-developed product, 'Negi-Shio Dressing,' based on the 'Regional Revitalization Entrepreneur System' agreement with Sakahogi Town, Gifu Prefecture. This product was developed under the leadership of a regional revitalization entrepreneur dispatched by the company, in collaboration with local 'Tokuda Negi' farmers and the town office. To commemorate the launch, Sakahogi Town held a product unveiling event at the town hall on May 18, attended by the mayor and local producers. The project began when the dispatched entrepreneur identified a local concern: 'Sakahogi Town lacks convenient souvenir items.' During the research, they focused on the local 'Tokuda Negi,' which is also used in school lunches. With the cooperation of Mr. Kariya, a professional farmer capable of stable year-round supply, the development of a 'Negi-Shio Dressing' that is easy for daily use and suitable for gifts was decided. The development process emphasized reflecting local voices. Over 70 people, including the mayor, staff, and assembly members, participated in tasting and voting. The flavor that received the most support from the final two prototypes was adopted. The dressing maximizes the onion content, condensing its original aroma and umami. It is a versatile seasoning that pairs perfectly not only with raw vegetables but also with fish dishes like carpaccio and meat dishes. The release date is May 20, 2026, and the price is open. Major sales outlets include the NPO Sakahogi Town Development Promotion Organization, Kawashima Highway Oasis, and Roadside Station Mikamo. It is also scheduled to be offered as a hometown tax return gift for Sakahogi Town starting at the end of May. At the presentation, Mr. Kariya commented, 'I haven't seen many green onion dressings before. I want people to taste the deliciousness of green onions through this product.' Mayor Ito stated, 'It has turned out to be an easy-to-eat product that clearly captures the flavor of green onions. I hope this will be an opportunity for people to get to know Sakahogi Town.' Since October 2025, the company has signed an agreement with Sakahogi Town based on the Regional Revitalization Entrepreneur System and has dispatched one employee. The development of this product was undertaken under the theme of 'development of new local specialties' in the agreement. The activities are promoted based on three pillars: strengthening information dissemination, developing local specialties and expanding sales channels, and regional revitalization through support for local businesses and organizations. The company will continue to utilize this system to work with the people of Sakahogi Town to create new value and sustainable regional development.
