The "TOKYO Smart Culture Project," promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture, is a project that digitizes cultural resources held by metropolitan cultural facilities to offer new viewing experiences. As part of this initiative, a hybrid exhibition combining physical materials from the "Tokyo Collection" with digital archives will be held, blending offline and online elements.
This exhibition will feature works by Daido Moriyama from the collection of the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, selected and reconfigured by students from the Faculty of Engineering at Nara Women's University under the theme "Reproducible Sensitivity." Additionally, the online exhibition on the "Tokyo Museum Collection (ToMuCo)" will provide an opportunity for anyone to view the works anytime, anywhere.
This exhibition is a touring version of "Reproducible Sensitivity DAIDO MORIYAMA by NWU Nagatani Lab. Monika Orpik," held in 2025 at the Irie Taikichi Memorial Nara City Museum of Photography, with cooperation from the Daido Moriyama Photo Foundation. The exhibition will feature a new configuration that includes works from the previous show.
