Relive Inc. (Headquarters: Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, Representative Director: Takashi Sasaki) has selected Ryusei Shinoyama, a player for the B.LEAGUE's Kawasaki Brave Thunders, as the recipient of the first "MVV (Most Valuable Veteran) Relive Award," an original award system established in August 2025, and held an award ceremony.
The "MVV Relive Award" is an original award system by Relive Inc. aimed at honoring veteran players who have continued to challenge themselves for many years in the sports world and have delivered inspiration to many people through their contributions to the sport's development and their teams.
Background of the MVV Relive Award's Establishment
In the sports world, there are many awards such as MVP that honor excellent competitive performance and achievements in a given season. On the other hand, there are not many opportunities to recognize veteran players who have continued to challenge themselves at the forefront for many years, supported their teams, and contributed to the development of the sport and its succession to the next generation.
Relive Inc., under its philosophy of "Contributing to the healthy and happy lives of people worldwide, both mentally and physically," has supported everyone who continues to challenge themselves daily in their respective fields, including sports, work, household chores, and community activities.
The姿 of veteran players who continue to challenge themselves at the forefront even as they age not only gives courage and hope to many people but also embodies the value of "continuing to challenge" itself. With the desire to give form to our respect and gratitude for these players, we established the "MVV (Most Valuable Veteran) Relive Award" in August 2025.
Through this award, we aim to widely disseminate the value of the experience and challenges accumulated by veteran players, and to serve as an opportunity to support everyone who continues to challenge themselves in various fields, including the sports world.
What is the MVV Relive Award?
The MVV (Most Valuable Veteran) Relive Award is an award that honors the achievements of veteran players by comprehensively evaluating not only their competitive performance but also:
- Long-term contribution to the sport - Influence on the team - Leadership - Contribution to fans and the local community - Attitude of continuous challenge
First Recipient
Ryusei Shinoyama (Kawasaki Brave Thunders)
Reason for Selection
In the 2025-26 season, Shinoyama led the Kawasaki Brave Thunders as captain, appearing in 60 games. As a point guard, he not only orchestrated the game but also supported the team with his leadership as well as his play.
Furthermore, he has consistently faced challenges head-on throughout his athletic career, including being cut from the national team just before the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and dealing with injuries. In recent years, he has led the Kawasaki Brave Thunders as captain.
We highly valued his influence on younger players and his efforts to promote the appeal of basketball to children, contributing to the popularization and development of the sport, and thus selected him as the recipient of the first "MVV Relive Award."

Ryusei Shinoyama's Comments
I was extremely happy to be selected for the first "MVV Relive Award." The season before last, I received my first individual award, the Free Throw Award, which I felt was a great honor, and I've been working to be able to win it again this season. I was a little disappointed that I didn't receive any individual awards this season, so I was truly happy to receive this wonderful award at such a time.
As I've reached the age where I'm called a veteran, I pay close attention to conditioning on a daily basis to continue playing at the forefront for a long time. The origin and the pinnacle, of course, is "sleep." My trainers tell me this repeatedly. No matter how much I get massages, pay attention to nutrition, or take supplements, it all becomes meaningless if I don't sleep, so I focus on "sleep quality and quantity." I am constantly trying various things, such as with my mattress, sleepwear, and body temperature control before bed.
"Stimuli" such as changes and growth that come with aging are present everywhere in daily life. If you can find enjoyment and excitement in them, I believe people can grow at any age, regardless of how old they are. Let's all move forward together and do our best, both myself and everyone else who is pursuing challenges in work, sports, or other goals.
In that regard, what one wears is very important, so I hope you will wear Relive products for recovery and strive to meet a new version of yourselves!
