Renxa Inc. (headquartered in Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Koji Sakamoto; hereinafter “the Company”) announced that Director Takahiro Kawai participated in the seminar titled “Approaches to Attracting Digital Nomads and Foreign Residents in Japan’s Future Rental Market,” held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at “El-Osaka” in Chuo-ku, Osaka—following a previous event in Tokyo in May 2026.

The seminar was hosted by DID-GLOBAL Co., Ltd., and co-organized with YUGYO Co., Ltd., The DECK Co., Ltd., and I Think Rent Co., Ltd.

The Tokyo session focused on the latest trends in the foreigner-targeted rental market and growing demand from digital nomads, highlighting new business opportunities such as long-term inbound stays and coliving. The Osaka session built on these market shifts, with speakers offering expert insights into housing and coworking spaces favored by digital nomads, trends in long-term business inbound stays, and practical challenges and solutions for real estate operators welcoming foreign tenants.

Presentation by Director Kawai: Practical Introduction to Multilingual Living Support Services

Director Kawai introduced services for foreign residents developed in collaboration with DID-GLOBAL Co., Ltd.

He highlighted the expanding demand for long-term stays by foreigners, driven by the rise of remote work and diverse workstyles. While approximately 90% of real estate companies have seen an increase in rental contracts with foreign residents over the past three years, only about 20% are actively responding to this demand. Moreover, differences in culture and customs (51.6%) and language barriers (43.1%) remain major on-site challenges (※).

He then explained the practical application of the Company’s services:

【Pre-contract to Move-in】APJ Support Service A service where multilingual foreign staff provide end-to-end support—from property search to move-in—via chat and phone inquiries on the Apartment Japan® website (service launch: October 2025).

【Move-in to Move-out】Multilingual Living Support (Global Support Desk) A multilingual support service via chat and phone addressing daily life issues for non-Japanese-speaking residents, such as equipment malfunctions, garbage disposal, and document translation (service launch: April 2026, for Apartment Japan® users).

Additionally, the Company introduced services that help real estate firms increase ancillary revenue, including life utility setup support (available in 14 languages, with over 250,000 annual guidance cases), electricity contract transfers, and fiber-optic line recommendations.

Director Kawai commented, “It is essential to balance creating a secure living environment for foreign residents with establishing a support system that allows real estate companies to welcome them with confidence.”
