RePlayce, a company operating career exploration schools, has announced the launch of the second phase of the 'Hataraku-ka' (Work Department) program, an experiential career exploration project for high school students living or attending school in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

In this program, participating students are appointed as 'Hataraku-ka' staff members. Together with current municipal employees and entrepreneurial mentors, they take on real-world local community issues through cross-boundary learning. This year, under the theme 'YOKOSUKA Oshikatsu Project' (Yokosuka Fan Promotion Project), students will discover local charms through fieldwork and utilize social media marketing and metaverse spaces to promote the city globally and gain fans.

Schedule: August 2026 to February 2027 Participants: Approximately 20 high school students (1st-3rd year) living or studying in Yokosuka City Participation Fee: Free

A key feature of this initiative is that students, city officials, and local businesses work together as equal partners to address the same challenges, rather than the one-way learning typical of school education.
